Religious intolerance is a delicate matter, but maybe one of it’s saddest aspects is the destruction of historical heritage sites. Attempting to erase entire cultures, extremists destroy centenary monuments aiming for the next generations to grow up without these pillars of their culture.

But there is a place where the next generations already build amazing monuments: Minecraft. That’s why UNESCO decided to create History Blocks, an educational project that helps children and players worldwide to rebuild what wars and conflicts have destroyed – all of these while learning about the history, culture and importance of these World Heritage sites.
